• Reported on sensitive topics such as public safety, gentrification, and immigration in Seattle’s most diverse region.
• Localized national news stories such as cuts to social safety net programs and responses to the Cesar Chavez abuse
allegations.
• Appeared on Seattle’s NPR Station, KUOW, to discuss my reporting on surveillance cameras and the different
perspectives in the local community.

immigrants and unemployment insurance for striking workers while deepening relationships with established sources.

and highlighting the impacts of policy on individuals.
• Honed news judgement by identifying underreported topic areas, scouting original story ideas, and finding different
angles on widely reported issues.
