• Pitched and reported weekly news stories on how communities in South Seattle have responded to increased threats of
immigration enforcement and cuts to social safety net programs.
• Developed story ideas such as the return of a clinic in the Central District and the challenges deported veterans face
by monitoring newsletters, social media, local events, neighborhood conversations, and localizing national news
stories.
• Avoided reporting gaps by fact-checking sources and documents and doing additional reporting when necessary to
ensure accuracy and fairness.
